After an electrifying three-day training camp led by professional footvolley experts from Austria, the Kenya International Footvolley Cup 2025 (KIFC2025) has officially kicked off today at the beautiful shores of Cowrie Shell Beach.
This year’s edition is a landmark moment for the sport in the region, bringing together delegates from Zanzibar, Austria, and Kenya, showcasing the growing global footprint of footvolley in East Africa.
The training camp, which ran from July 12–14, played a pivotal role in equipping athletes with advanced technical and tactical skills. The sessions covered everything from basic footvolley techniques to high-level strategies in chest and header reception, setting, and attacking. The presence of Austrian coaches gave players a rare opportunity to learn from European professionals, raising the standard of play and promoting cultural and technical exchange.
